A Minnesota PBS Initiative

Two Very Distinct Ends of the Spectrum

Linda Domeier was a Vietnam protester who married a Vietnam veteran. Though their points of view were distinct, Linda and her husband were both motivated by love of country. One of their first dates was seeing Stanley Kubrick's "Full Metal Jacket," followed by hours of conversation and learning the other's perspective.

One of my most distinct memories is sitting on the street in downtown St. Cloud in front of the Federal Building, might have been the day after, two days after the shooting at Kent State.

Linda's story was captured with the help of TPT's Minnesota Remembers Vietnam team.
