Poem To My Grandpa (Richard D. Lindholm)

We remember you today
As it is Memorial day
We shouldn't have to
As you were taken too quickly
The name Richard Lindhold should be on that wall
As Agent Orange made you fall

We remember you everyday
You were our pride and joy
I hope you rest and lay
As we remember you on this day

Richard D. Lindholm: June 11, 1947- April 21, 2018

An official military grave marker for Richard D Lindholm, with flowers and an American flag pinwheel.
Photo of a scrapbook page that includes an older gentleman in a toy hard hat that says "Caution Old Zone" and a young girl in pigtails.

On April 21, 2018 my grandpa, Richard D. Lindholm took his last breath. He had lost his battle from complications from Agent Orange. His name should be on the Veitnam Memorial Wall, because the effects from that war killed him. I loved him greatly, and he will forever be missed. He was my HERO.

My grandpa meant the world to me. I grew up without a dad, so my grandpa took that job. I was 13 when he passed away and it’s like something was like half of me was taken away because my grandpa made me the person I am today. I want to resemble him in away by always putting my family first like he always did.
