Vietnam at age 18+2 months

I graduated in June of 1966 at 17 couldn't apply for work-in the mines until Oct when I turned 18. Decided to join the Air Force instead of waiting to get drafted and get sent to Vietnam GEE suprize in December I was in Vietnam any way, go figure some of my classmates got drafted and spent there time places other than Vietnam. It was an eye opening experience over there then when we came back we were told to change into civies as soon as we could so we weren't recognized as being in the military.

not possible when all of yours was left over there because it was either moldy or didn't fit. we were spit at called baby killers and other not printable words quite a time, and to this day it's still hard to fathom. Went to the dedication of the Vietnam wall wow there was names on it that I knew was hard to take.
