One of the Few Plans in My Life that Ever Worked
Jim Kamholz deferred his service for as long as he could, attending the University of MN and majoring in German. After he was drafted, he was sent to Munich for what he says couldn't have been better duty. He gained some confidence and learned skills that he's carried with him throughout his life.
I loved Munich. Beautiful city, nice lifestyle, and it was a very paperwork style of a job. It couldn't have been better duty.
