EVAC Hospital

I worked at Camp Kue Hospital from 1 Mar 70 to 9 Aug 71. Just wanted to say how proud I am of the Dr's Nurses and staff of this Hospital.

Wounded were all critical. U.S.A. did not want seriously hurt soldiers to die in route to US so Okinawa got them. The wounded were so critical that immediate family would be flown to Okinawa if they paid their own way to Oakland Army Depot. The military would fly, house, and feed family until soldier died or was flown back to the USA. The Okinawan people were fantastic and very friendly. Virtually no crime from a population of approx. 900,000.

To the staff of Camp Kue Hospital......I am so proud to have been among you.
