Daily Reminders of Vietnam

The sights, sounds, smells, and raw emotions of Richard Timmerman's 12-month tour in Vietnam have stuck with him ever since. It wasn't until the dedication of the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial, and later the Vietnam Women's Memorial, that Richard came out of the woodwork and became more involved in veteran's issues.

Sights, sounds, fatigue, smell of smoke, hot days, bird sounds, anger, sadness... All of those things have stuck with me since that year in Vietnam.
