We Wanted to Stay in College

Tom Ash, a student at St. Cloud State during part of the Vietnam War, vividly remembers a vote to shut down the school during the Cambodian Invasion. He also recalls the dramatic presidential election of 1968.

They called for a third vote and it just reverberated off the halls that we wanted to stay in college.

Tom's story was captured with the help of TPT's Minnesota Remembers Vietnam team.
