Pretty Much Left With Nothing

Louie Hai Tran was a young child when he and his family fled his house in the middle of the night. With his father in the South Vietnamese Navy, he was lucky to be able to find temporary refuge at the naval base. When he was 9, he and his family made it to the Twin Cities with nothing but paperwork and some old pictures.

I'm glad I was kind of protected from it... in my mind, I kind of block a lot of it out.

Tran's story was captured with the help of TPT's Minnesota Remembers Vietnam team.
