Floating Above the War

John Bernard felt conflicted about the Vietnam War even as a young ROTC cadet. He eventually became a navigator in the Air Force, where he literally and metaphorically floated above the war.

What am I doing here? Why am I even a part of this thing?

John's story was captured with the help of TPT's Minnesota Remembers Vietnam team.
