Close to cambodia

We,headed out on HWY.1, north to a destination I know now to be about 500 yds from Cambodia. We were part of a long convoy headed to parts unknown. When we reached the firebase there were a couple of hundred soldiers there building up the birms for the protection from snipers and vietcong. We had the longest mad minute ever that night.

The next day had walked across the river in to cambodia and found a deserted v.c.camp. The engineers had a hole ready for my com. apc tricky drive down the hole. Took fire on the way back to Cu Chi a couple of pot shots
