A Tear-gassed Baby Blanket

Nancy May was an antiwar activist during the Vietnam War. When she was a young mother, she remembers bringing her young son to a University of Minnesota protest, and the moment that his blanket got tear-gassed.

This story was captured with the help of TPT’s Minnesota Remembers Vietnam Team at a public story-sharing event at the St. Cloud Public Library on Nov. 4th, 2017.

We were against what our country was saying to us… How they were lying to us.
