Education is a key part of the Minnesota Remembers Vietnam initiative. Twin Cities PBS is proud to support thousands of teachers by partnering with the Minnesota Council for Social Studies and students via National History Day MN.
TPT is looking forward to supporting students in 2019 as they create projects focused on “Triumph and Tragedy” in history. Join TPT history experts at the University of Minnesota’s annual help event- Gopherbaloo– on Jan. 19th from 1-5 p.m. at the University of Minnesota’s Wilson Library.
The Minnesota Remembers Vietnam Story Wall is a great place to find primary sources for your History Day projects. The Story Wall has robust search functionality. Filter stories by topic, conduct a keyword search to find stories on a certain theme or event, or explore stories by geography using our map.

2018
The 2018 History Day theme was “Conflict and Compromise.” In partnership with state organizers, TPT awarded four topical prizes to outstanding student projects focused on the Vietnam War; special attention was given to documentaries. TPT staff served as judges at the regional competitions and assisted students with their projects prior to the competitions.
